AJGA Performance Based Entry
Both the Boys and Girls Champions in 2010 will receive 1 AJGA exemption. The top 5 Boys will also receive 1 performance star.
The 2010 Stan Trojanowski Northern Jr. will be ranked by the Golfweek/Titleist Performance Index and the National Junior Golf Scoreboard
















THE TOURNAMENT: The Stan Trojanowski Northern Junior is an open national junior golf event conducted over 36 holes of stroke play that aims to bring the best players from New England and beyond to compete in a first-class event. Our goal is to provide a first-class championship experience to each and every player. The tournament was first formed in 2002 in memory of Stan Trojanowski, father of Cindy and Gary Paladino. This year's event, the 9th annual, will be contested at Timberlin Golf Club in Berlin, Connecticut on August 9th - 10th, 2010.

FORMAT: All players will play 18 holes of stroke play on Monday, August 9th and Tuesday, August 10th. Tee times will be from 7:00am to 12:45pm both days. There will be an awards ceremony and trophy presentation following the conclusion of play on Tuesday at approximately 5:30pm on the veranda adjacent to the clubhouse.

ELEGIBILITY: Entry is open to any male or female amateur golfer who has not reached their 19th birthday by August 10th, 2010. All players must be an amateur golfer as defined by the USGA, and must not have entered their first year of college. Players do NOT have to be a member of the US Challenge Cup to apply.

ENTRY PROCEDURE: The field is limited to the first 130 participants. All applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Applications will be released March 15th, 2010 via our website at NorthernJunior.com. Entry fee of $135 includes two rounds of tournament play, lunch both days, tournament towel, Titleist Pro V1 golf balls, tee gifts, and trophies and merchandise certificates awarded to top finishers.

NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE: All players will be notified of their acceptance via mail. All players who are accepted into the event will receive an official players packet, which will contain information regarding practice rounds, hotel accommodations and tee times. All players will also be required to complete a media questionnaire.

PRIZES: Boys and Girls Champion: $500 and trophy. The top 10 finishers in the Boys Championship and the top 7 finishers in the Girls Championship will receive prizes. Additionally, the top 5 finishers who are between the ages of 13-15 will receive prizes. The estimated purse for the event is $2,650 and all prizes will be distributed in the form of pro shop credit.

AJGA PBE and RANKINGS: Both the Boys and Girls Champion will receive 1 AJGA exemption. The top 5 Boys will receive 1 performance star. The event will also be ranked by both the Golfweek/Titleist Rankings and the National Junior Golf Scoreboard.

CHAMPIONSHIP SCHEDULE:
- July 26th - Application Deadline (All applications must be received by this date)
- August 6th - 7th - Official Practice Rounds (1st tee closes at 5pm for course maintenance)
- August 8th - Official Practice Rounds (11:30am - 12:30pm) and Junior-Am (12:30pm - 1:30pm)
- August 9th - First Round Tee times 7:00am - 12:45pm off the 1st tee
- August 10th - Final Round Tee times 7:00am - 12:45pm off the 1st tee (Leaders off last), Awards ceremony and trophy presentation at approximately 5:30pm.

CODE OF CONDUCT: All players are expected to abide by the US Challenge Cup Code of Conduct. Players may view the code of conduct by visiting our website at http://www.NorthernJunior.com. Penalty for breach of the Code of Conduct is immediate disqualification without refund.

REFUNDS: Applicants may withdraw from the tournament before the application deadline date, July 26th, 2010 without penalty and their full application fee will be returned to them. Once the application deadline has passed, those applicants that are accepted into the tournament field will not receive a refund should they choose to withdraw.

INCLEMENT WEATHER: The tournament committee reserves the right to shorten the event should inclement weather require us to do so. In the event that the tournament is shortened from 36-holes to 18-holes, no refund will be given. The prize breakdown for the event would not change and all participants would still receive all tee gifts and lunch both days. In the event that the tournament is cancelled, and no 18-holes scores are posted, a refund of $55.00 will be given to each participant. The remaining entry fee of each participant will be used to cover tournament and course costs incurred before the event. (Trophies, equipment, towels, etc...).

Titleist will provide Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls to all players in the 2010 Stan Trojanowski Northern Junior.
